How to Track Your Mounts in World of Warcraft

Start with the Mount Journal

The Mount Journal is the in-game source of truth for the mounts your Warband has learned. Open Collections from the game menu, or use the default Shift-P shortcut, and choose the Mounts tab. Blizzard also refers to this screen as the Warband Collection.

Use the journal to search mount names and inspect the source information recorded by the game. Blizzard’s own Mounts-tab reference confirms the Collections shortcut and Mounts tab. If your goal is simply to check whether a mount is learned, start here before using an external tracker.

What “collected” does—and does not—mean

A mount shown as collected belongs to your in-game collection. That does not guarantee that the character you are currently playing can use it in every situation. Faction, class, profession, level, location, and flight-style rules can still affect usability.

Treat collection status and current-character usability as two different questions: “Have I learned this mount?” and “Can this character use it here?”

Mount collections are shared within a region

Blizzard includes mounts among the collections shared by a Warband. A Warband spans realms, factions, and subscriptions on the same Battle.net account, but it is limited to one region. An EU collection and a US collection therefore remain separate.

Read Blizzard’s Warbands overview for the current sharing and region rules. This distinction matters when a mount appears on one regional roster but not another.

Use Missing Mounts as a planning snapshot

The Missing Mounts scanner reads the public character information available through Blizzard and compares the saved scan with mount records tracked by Missing Mounts. A character scan is useful when you want a focused answer for one character; the Warband flow is better when you want to compare the characters included in that scan run.

Each result shows the time it was captured, so refresh a character when you want the latest data. You can also browse mounts tracked by Missing Mounts without selecting a character.

Read reputation and Renown requirements carefully

A reputation mount can depend on a traditional standing such as Revered or Exalted, a Renown level, a quest, currency, vendor access, or another prerequisite. Missing Mounts can compare a recorded standing or Renown requirement with a saved character snapshot, but a match does not prove that the mount is immediately purchasable.

Warband sharing also varies by reputation and reward. Blizzard notes that some reputations are Warband-wide while others remain character-specific, and that individual rewards may still need to be collected per character. Use the reputation and Renown mounts list to narrow the catalog, then confirm the final requirements in game.

Refresh a stale scan before deciding what to farm

If you learned a mount, changed reputation, or switched regions after the displayed scan time, refresh the character through the existing scanner flow before treating the result as current. The freshness label tells you when Missing Mounts last recorded that character—not when the game data last changed.
